SOCIAL MARKETING AND MESSAGE DEVELOPMENT
Social marketing is the design and implementation of public education campaigns to inform and persuade the public about a particular issue. HECC’s approach to social marketing blends both mass media and community outreach. HECC’s public education campaigns include: consultation with stakeholders; development of materials; communication with national, state and/or local media; organizing community agencies; training-of-trainer workshops; technical assistance to community agencies; and evaluation of the campaign’s reach and impact.
